J.J. Daniel M. S. Addition
J.J. Daniel M.S. Addition - Marietta, GA
Architect: Goode, Van Slyke Architecture
Project Description:
The addition consisted of a 12,000 square foot Fine Arts Building including a band room, choral room and orchestra room with special sound insulating wall and ceiling panels. The exterior skin was designed to match the existing school by using custom made brick and Extruded Insulation and Finish System above aluminum doors and windows. An aluminum pre-engineered canopy connected the new building to the existing facility in order to maintain the circulation of the complex as a whole. Site work included new heavy duty paving, in a larger area for smother flow of school bus traffic, several utility lines and two detention ponds to accommodate the addition of the new building.
