Project Description:
The addition consisted of a 12,000 square foot Fine Arts Building including a band room, choral room and orchestra room with special sound insulating wall and ceiling panels. The exterior skin was designed to match the existing school by using custom made brick and Extruded Insulation and Finish System above aluminum doors and windows. An aluminum pre-engineered canopy connected the new building to the existing facility in order to maintain the circulation of the complex as a whole. Site work included new heavy duty paving, in a larger area for smother flow of school bus traffic, several utility lines and two detention ponds to accommodate the addition of the new building.

Project Description:
The project included the renovation of 105,000 square foot, 25 year old middle school. Renovation consisted of asbestos removal, removing and installation of a new membrane roof, upgrade the HVAC and Emergency System, complete finishing. The highlight of the project was the use of a helicopter to install the roof top units over the structure. Thirty-three RTUs were installed in the matter of 90 minutes. The more challenging part of the project was the preparation of all the systems in the school before the RTUs could actually be set, including preparing the roof, installing roof curbs, running the electrical wiring to the roof, installing the support steel and changing the acoustical grid below to accommodate the supply and return air. All the renovation work, worth about $2.1 million, was performed in only ten weeks.

Project Description:
A $ 2.8 million addition to the existing Settles Bridge Elementary Schools consists of two wings, 34,000 square feet. It is a structural steel frame with pre-engineered metal roof, brick facing and concrete masonry unit exterior wall. The job also includes installation of a new sprinkler system to the existing facility. The challenge in the project was to tie the existing storm sewer lines and proceed with construction while school was in session.
